About OYA

OYA, also known as the Orlando Youth Alliance, is a prominent organization dedicated to supporting and empowering the LGBTQ+ youth community in the Orlando area. With our commitment to inclusivity and providing a safe space, OYA offers a wide range of programs, resources, and opportunities for young individuals to thrive and be themselves.

Our Mission

At OYA, our mission is to create an inclusive and affirming environment for LGBTQ+ youth, fostering personal growth, advocacy, and social development. We aim to provide a supportive network of peers, mentors, and resources that empower young individuals to embrace their identities, build resilience, and achieve their full potential.

Programs and Services

LGBTQ+ Support Groups

One of our core services is offering LGBTQ+ support groups, which serve as a crucial platform for youth to connect with others who share similar experiences and challenges. These groups provide a safe space for discussions, sharing of stories, and emotional support.

Education and Workshops

Through educational workshops, we aim to raise awareness about LGBTQ+ issues, promote understanding, and offer guidance to allies. Our expert facilitators cover topics such as gender identity, sexual orientation, mental health, and discrimination, equipping individuals with the knowledge needed to become advocates and agents of change within their communities.

Peer Mentoring
